What are „cookie” files?

By „cookies” we mean computer data, mostly text files, stored on the user’s end devices. These files allow site to recognize the user’s device and display w web page customised to their individual preferences and needs. „Cookies” usually contain the name of the website, storage time and unique number.

What do we use „cookies” for?

„Cookies” are used to customize web content to individual needs and to optimize the use of websites. They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated analytics that help us understand the ways in which user uses the website, so that we can improve the structure and and content, without identifying personally this user.

What kinds of „cookie” files do we use?

There are two kinds of files used – session cookies and „persistent” ones. The first of theese are temporatory files that are on your device until you log off or close the software (web browser, for example). „Persistent” cookies remain on your device for the time specified inside. You can manually remove them, though.
„Cookies” used by website partners, especially users, are the subject o their own privacy policies.

Personal data collected using cookies may be collected for the sake of performing particular functions for the user. This information is encrypted to prevent access by unauthorized entities.

Deleting the „cookie” files

Most web browsers allow placement of „cookies” in the user’s device by default. Those settings can be changeg, so „cookies” are automatically blocked or the user is informed each time if the website requires the use of them. However, restricting the use of „cookies” might affect the website functionality.
